I try to set intentions every month to help keep me on track! This month, I paid extra attention to them - especially since this is the first time I'll be making them public.
When I set my intentions, I focus on making them more about how I'm feeling. Intentions are what fuel what I do everyday. They get me to actively think about my life and how I want to feel. They're the little things I want to keep in mind this month.
1. Think about what you're eating.
I love this intention. It's not super strict like "Don't ever eat carbs again", but will allow me to make conscious decisions about what I'm eating. Eating healthier has been something that's been on my mind for ages, so I'm going to make it an active priority this month. I feel like this is something a lot of people struggle with. I want to make healthy eating a habit and something that I enjoy!
2. Do something everyday that's just for fun!
September is going to be a crazy busy month for me. With the launching of my website/ blog and new Instagram, and a new semester at school, I'm going to have a lot on my plate. This intention is to make sure I pick up a good book, try a new food, bake, have a dance party or snuggle my dog everyday. Making time for myself to do something I love is a way I practice self-care.
3. Get moving 3 times a week.
This intention took time. I didn't want to make it something like "go to the gym everyday" cause that's probably not going to happen. I just want to keep active by doing something like taking a yoga class, workout class or going for a run - keep those endorphins going!
4. Focus on your missions! Don't compare yourself to others.
Honestly, this might be really hard. Since I've started my coaching business and blog, I've really tried to not look at other peoples Instagrams or websites and think "Wow, I'll never be that good!". I'm going to try and trust my process and know that I'm on the right path. Gotta put those blinders up and keep pushing forward! Starting a business is really nerve wracking but also super exciting! I want to enjoy this amazing time, and not focus on other people.
5. Do things from a place of love; not fear
This intention is kind of the same thing. Am I posting on my blog today because I'm scared I won't have a successful business if I don't? Or am I doing it because I want to connect with other people? Am I studying so I don't feel like I'm failing? Or am I studying because I want to learn more and feel confident? Mindset is everything.
