February 1: How I'm Redefining "Discipline"

I won't lie to you, the word "discipline" used to totally freak me out. I used to picture a robot, walking around, doing the samething every single day, not really LIVING. I couldn't see the benefits of doing the same thing everyday. The idea of being someone who was disciplined sounded so uninspiring, mundane and, quite frankly, BORING. I mean, where's the fun in waking up and doing the same thing every. single. day. Does that really lead to growth? What will being displaced actually accomplish?

Being disciplined seemed to surface level for me. BUT, here's what I've learned:
Discipline is not a rigid taskmaster but a compassionate guide, supporting you as you flourish into the best version of yourself.

Here are some benefits to keep in mind for when you need the discipline to persist through setbacks:

Consistent Growth: Discipline propels us on a journey of continual growth, as each small step leads to significant progress over time.

Clarity and Focus: Discipline helps clear the mental clutter, allowing us to focus on what truly matters and make decisions aligned with our values. There is so much freedom in discipline. You're able to create habits and patterns that serve you so you can focus on your greater purpose.

Greater Self-Awareness: Through disciplined practices like journaling or self-reflection, we deepen our understanding of ourselves, fostering a profound sense of self-awareness.

Empowerment: Discipline is empowering; it reminds us that we have agency over our choices and the ability to shape our destinies. It's AMAZING how PROUD you will be of yourself when you are dedicated to YOU. This empowerment overflows into all areas of your life.

Discipline is actually the cornerstone of self-love and it allows us to build positive habits. These habits create a purposeful and inspiring life that is truly YOURS.

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments. It empowers us to forge habits that align with our aspirations. Whether it's establishing a morning routine that centers and energizes us or cultivating mindful practices that enhance our well-being, discipline transforms lofty ideals into tangible, sustainable habits.

As you embrace disciplined practices, remember that it's about progress, not perfection. Celebrate the small wins, learn from the setbacks, and relish in the empowering journey toward self-discovery.

It's making a decision every day to choose YOU. Keep it up!!
