Is Self-Sabotage Deciding Your Future For You?

Ah, self-sabotage. The old "friend" that creeps in every so often whose goal is to keep you exactly where you are. The scariest thing self-sabotage can interact with is growth. So, how do we overcome it and break through our comfort zones?

First off, self-sabotage is really just trying to help you, so don't be too hard on yourself. This is a part of you that says "WAIT, you're rocking the boat! You're doing something that we don't normally do and that is SCARY. What if we fail? What if we make a fool of ourselves? Better not shake the status quo too much. Who knows what will happen....".

These are all valid concerns. Change can be scary! Doing something new WILL feel unfamiliar.

For me, self-sabotage shows up as not living up to my unlimited potential.

When I was starting my business, I played small.
When I was changing my habits, I would sneakily stay attached to an old version of me because it was comfortable.
When I was stepping into my power and finding my voice, I would balance speaking my truth with fitting into the mold that others had set for me.

Have you ever felt this way? Like you're right on the edge of a major breakthrough, but you're still being pulled into old ways of being?

Self-sabotage pops in because we are scared of who we will become if we fully stepped into our true selves.

We are actually afraid to achieve what we desire.

When you catch yourself sabotaging your own success, I want you to remember: You can do hard things. You will still be loved and important and YOU if you put yourself out there. You are safe in your new identity. Leveling up is allowed.

Don't stand in your own way! Give yourself permission to outgrow the parts of you that don't serve you anymore. Grow. Grow into your most authentic, powerful, limitless self.

You got this!
